"My job is to find the root cause of your pain and fix it — not just quiet it down — so you can get back to doing what you love."
I grew up in the Seattle area, where a love of the outdoors and competitive sports first got me curious about how the human body works — and why it sometimes stops working the way it should. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Utah State University, then moved to Dallas, Texas to study at Parker College of Chiropractic. It was there that I started to question the standard model of chiropractic care: crack the back, hope it holds, schedule another visit next week. Something was missing.
After I graduated with my Doctor of Chiropractic degree, I opened my first practice in Arizona. Over several years of treating patients, I noticed a pattern — the people who got the best, longest-lasting results were the ones whose muscles were working properly. The patients who kept coming back with the same complaints were the ones whose underlying muscles had effectively gone offline. That insight changed how I practice. I dove deep into muscle activation, kinesiology, FAKTR, Active Release Technique, and acupressure, and built a whole-body, muscle-first system that treats the cause, not just the symptom.
In 2013, my wife and I moved our family to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The reasons were simple: the lakes, the mountains, the four seasons, and a community where we could raise our five kids with room to run. I opened Muscle Works Chiropractic with one goal — to give the people of North Idaho a smarter, gentler, more effective alternative to the old crack-and-go chiropractic experience.
Here's how I think about your body: your skeleton is held in place by muscles. When a muscle shuts down — from injury, stress, overuse, or even a bad night's sleep — the bones it supports drift out of position, and the muscles around it have to work overtime to pick up the slack. Fix the muscle, and the bones follow naturally. That's why I use the gentle Activator Method for spinal work and pair it with Muscle Therapy, myofascial release, acupressure, and shockwave therapy — so we address both the structure and the soft tissue that holds it up.
I'm also a VA-credentialed chiropractic provider, offering fully-covered care to veterans in the Coeur d'Alene community with a VA community care referral. I come from a military family, so serving those who have served is personal to me.
My goal isn't to keep you coming back forever — it's the opposite. Most of my patients see significant relief in six to ten visits and then graduate to maintenance or self-care. When you're not in my office, I hope you're out doing what you love: on the trails, on the lake, on the field, or chasing kids in the backyard. That's what Muscle Works is built for.
Our Core Values
Muscles First
Your skeleton is held up by muscles. When muscles shut down, bones move out of place. I fix the muscles first, so the alignment actually holds.
Whole-Body Thinking
Pain in one area often starts somewhere else. I trace the chain of compensation to find where your problem really began.
Graduate, Don't Depend
My goal is to get you better — not to keep you coming back forever. Most patients feel significant relief in just 6–10 visits.

I’m a Doctor of Chiropractic with more than 17 years of experience, and I founded Muscle Works Chiropractic here in Coeur d’Alene. I grew up in the Seattle area, earned my Bachelor of Science at Utah State University, and went on to Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas for my doctorate.
After running my own practice in Arizona, I moved my family to Coeur d’Alene in 2013 to raise our kids in the Idaho outdoors. I practice a muscle-based approach to chiropractic care — using Muscle Therapy, the gentle Activator Method, FAKTR, A.R.T., acupressure, and shockwave therapy to find and correct the root cause of your pain, not just the spot that hurts.
I’m also a VA-credentialed provider. I come from a military family, so caring for the veterans in our community means a lot to me.
When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me playing soccer, hiking, biking, and spending time outdoors with my wife and five kids.
